Manx Language and Culture

Welcome to the Isle of Man
This is a good starting place for general infomation about Man and Manx culture, with lots of links to other sites.

Manx Language Resources
This very nice site is maintained by Phil Kelly. It's a touch slow sometimes, so be patient.

Manx Language Resources at SMO
This is currently one of the best site for information about Manx Gaelic. The site includes sound samples of native speakers in .wav format; my favorite is the one about the pig.

Manx Radio
You can listed to live and archived radio programs, some in Manx.

Centre for Manx Studies
The Centre researches and publishes in every area of Manx studies; many of their materials are available freely online, including their journal Laare-Studeyrys Manninage in Manx, and current archaeological excavation reports (in English).

General Information
This page offers a general description of the Manx language, with shorter discussions on the grammar, pronunciations, and syntax.

Manx Gaelic
This site from Dr. Stephen Miller contains publications in, and about, Manx Gaelic. Much of the site can be downloaded in Adobe .pdf format as well as in ordinary text.

My opinions are my own and don't represent those of anyone else.
Not that anyone would want them :).
