Why I'm an Amazon Associate

Amazon bills themselves as the world's largest bookstore; I like them both for their extensive stock, and the convenienence of their services. You can search for books by title, author, subject or ISBN. Many books are discounted and many are shipped to your door in two days. If you don't want to enter a credit card number online, you can enter just part of the number, save the order info and call Amazon using a toll-free number. I've come to depend on Amazon for much of my holiday and gift shopping. They email you when they receive your order, and again when they ship; it couldn't be easier. I've found Amazon to have lots of the books I'm interested in, good service and reasonable prices, which part of the reason I'm an Amazon Associate. Many people have told me that thay can't find scholarly books about Celtic studies locally, so I thought that linking to Amazon might help since many of the books I recommend are carried by Amazon. I have added links to the correct Amazon catalog page for those books, so that you may order a book online directly from Amazon. I have tried to include a full bibliographic reference for books, usually including the ISBN number, so you can use a local book store, or Books for Scholars, the Celtic scholarly book specialist for titles Amazon doesn't carry, like those published in Ireland by the Dublin Institute or in Wales by University of Wales Press.

But I'm also an Amazon Associate because pays Associates a percentage of the price of items ordered through a link from an Associate's web site. I doubt very much that I'll make a lot of money (I haven't thus far), but as traffic to this site has increased, so has my financial burden. Every little bit helps.

Amazon Books Associate Program

The following is the Official Amazon Blurb about the Associates program.

Amazon.com is pleased to have Celtic Studies Resources in the family of Amazon.com associates. We've agreed to ship books and provide customer service for orders we receive through special links on Celtic Studies Resources. Amazon.com associates list selected books in an editorial context that helps you choose the right books. We encourage you to visit Celtic Studies Resources often to see what new books they've selected for you. Thank you for shopping with an Amazon.com Associate.
Sincerely,
Jeff Bezos

P.S. We guarantee you the same high level of customer service you would receive at Amazon.com. If you have a question about an order you've placed, please don't hesitate to contact us.
